Susan Fritz & Wingo Hom teach together at the Sandra Cameron Dance Center and travel the country competing and judging. They recently placed 4th in the Professional Open Showcase Division at the International Hustle & Salsa Competition in Miami, FL. Students at SCDC get to benefit from their 40 years of combined experience and training. They create a classroom setting that is friendly and non-intimidating and they break down moves in a way that even someone with the proverbial two left feet can understand.
Susan Fritz
Susan parlayed a childhood spent in competitive artistic roller skating, where she was a regional champion and national finalist, into a career in partnered dancing as an adult. Specializing in Hustle, she has won numerous amateur and professional titles. Susan has performed all over the tri-state area at various private functions and in the Catskills. She has been featured as a soloist on the Today Show and, most recently, on CBS Sunday Morning in a profile piece on the current state of Hustle. Considered one of the top female Hustle dancers, Susan is known for her sass, intensity and very exacting, sharp style. She is an active member of the International Hustle Dancers Association and is the first ever to pass the Bronze level professional certification exam issued by DVIDA.
Wingo Hom
Born and raised in New York City, Wingo's passion for partner dancing was ignited at age 11 after a classmate's parents introduced him to a variety of dances right in their living room. Wingo has studied with some of the finest instructors and competed in an array of dances including American and International styles of Ballroom, Latin, Hustle, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing and Salsa. Throughout his 40+ years of experience, Wingo achieved more than 450 first place titles, including an unprecedented 30 Jack & Jill first place titles. He has also obtained full silver lead and follow certifications in 10 different American dance styles. Wingo is also an accomplished bowler, the ultimate team player, capturing 30 first place league titles, 4 New York City team tournament titles, 1 doubles tournament title, 4 sanctioned perfect 300 games, and numerous high average, high series and high game awards. Also, he adds a First Degree Black Belt Martial Arts certification into the mix.
