Luis Cunha
Luis Cunha, born and raised in Portugal, became interested in Salsa dancing in 2000, when his Latino friends started “dragging” him to the New York Latin venues. His formal training started two years later at the hands of internationally renowned dancer, Jhesus Aponte. Then slowly, he became more and more interested in the dance, until it became more than a hobby. Soon, Luis found himself training, sometimes 4-5 times per week, with several of New York’s top instructors, including Eddie Torres and Frankie Martinez. Luis has been teaching at the Sandra Cameron Dance Center since May 2007, and his classes focus on body movement, timing and dance partner connection.
