Roberto Garcia

Roberto Garcia is a performer, teacher and choreographer with 30 years of professional experience in modern dance. His background also includes ballet, jazz and court dances of the 15th and 16th centuries. Roberto performed in the companies of May O'Donnell, Deborah Carr, Bill Heiden, Manuel Alum and Bhala Jones. For 8 years he and Felice Dalgin co-directed the Jewish Community Center's School of Dance in Tenafly, NJ.

Roberto began ballrom dancing in 1999 and in 2001 was invited to join the staff at the Sandra Cameron Dance Center. Since September 2002 he has taught the ballrom dance classes at the 92nd Street Y.

Roberto wishes to thank his ballroom partners, Janice Carapellucci and Eva DeVos, for the energy and enthusiasm that they bring to the dance.
